SET transfers third hybrid ferry “Grasbrook” to Hamburg with its own transport lighter
The third HADAG ferry of the current series was successfully transferred to Hamburg by transport lighter and handed over to the client.
The scheduled arrival of the unit in Lauenburg marked another milestone in the HADAG ferry project. The “Grasbrook”, the third unit in the current series, was successfully transferred and then handed over to HADAG Seetouristik und Fährdienst AG in the port of Hamburg.
The transfer was again carried out using the tried and tested transport lighter from SET Schiffbau. After unloading, the empty dock was safely transported back to Tangermünde by push barge.
The project placed particularly high demands on the logistics, which were reliably implemented thanks to precise planning and well-coordinated processes. The completion of the project confirms the suitability of the pushed barge for future transports under difficult fairway conditions.
