Launching of the measuring ship Elbegrund after extensive modernization at SET
After more than 16 months in the shipyard, SET has successfully transferred the modernized measuring ship Elbegrund back into its element - a milestone in a technically demanding major project.
With the successful launch of the Elbegrund measuring ship, an extensive modernization project is entering the home stretch. In close coordination with the Wasserstraßen- und Schifffahrtsamt Elbe, the ship was put back to sea after more than 16 months of intensive shipyard work.
The results of the project speak for themselves:
Over 6,000 productive working hours
Around 10 km of renewed cables
New machinery, propulsion, heating and electrical systems
A gross order volume of over €1.8 million
This success is the result of a strong, cooperative partnership - between the client, crew, subcontractors and our team on site. The Elbegrund is now technically up to date and ready for its next assignments.
